The numbers for the 2014 Christmas Bird Count and the numbers are impressive. There were 25 groups that went out with a total of 75 people and 18 feeder watchers and two people went owling besides their area count. That is a total 88 participants! They covered 39 miles by boat, 60.24 miles by foot and 161 miles by car. and counted 112 species.
Preliminary analysis shows that waterfowl numbers were good as were finches. The only usual thing was the Black-capped Chickadees on San Juan Island.
