British Soccer Camp is one of the summer highlights for many island kids.
Recently, Didier Gincig, Coordinator of the Orcas Rec program, announced that housing is needed for the four or five instructors coming to put on the camp August 3-7.
Gincig writes, “We are still searching for housing for British Soccer Camp coaches August 3-7. Usually we like to house them in one place; however, we’re looking at housing them in pairs or separately as needed.
“There are usually 4-5 coaches, and they are usually British though occasionally Scottish.
“They are not allowed to drink and are well-behaved. For those who are having a child participate in the soccer camp, those housing soccer coaches will get a voucher for $80 off for each coach or get $80 payment for each coach. People who are housing coaches are asked to feed them breakfast and dinner but not lunch.
“Perhaps there is an empty house that you know of where they can stay. This is a classy organization with outstanding coaches involved. Perhaps you or someone you know will enjoy the opportunity to help out. ”

Barb Skotte, President of the PTSA, adds, “If you have space to share, please consider helping to ensure that this year’s soccer camp runs smoothly.”
