Back by popular demand, Charles Dalton, owner of The Kitchen, returns to school on Wednesday, January 15, to prepare and serve another magnificent lunch: home-made chicken tamales, killer black bean chili (vegetarian) with salsa and sour cream, and Charles’s special chocolate pudding for dessert. Cost is still just $5 for adults and that includes a trip to the salad bar and a beverage!
The last time Charles was our Celebrity Chef, he broke the record for the number of lunches served at 325. Previously it was 292. That record was recently broken by Madden Surbaugh of New Leaf, so Charles is hoping to get back on top by beating Madden’s record of 352.
In order to accommodate everyone in the public school cafeteria, community members who do not have kids in the school are asked to come between noon and 1 p.m. when most of the Elementary School kids have been served and on their way back to class. It will be a little quieter and roomier.
See you at school for lunch!
