Harold Asper passed Saturday, May 26 after a month-long bout with pneumonia in Yerrington, Nevada. A graveside service will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, on Mt. Baker Road in Eastsound, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 7.
Justin Taylor of the Orcas Island Golf Club noted, “Harold was an avid golfer and for many years hosted his own tournament here on the island, the “Asper Open.” The tournament was played with only two clubs and a putter.
“Our thoughts and prayers go to the family and friends of Harold.”
