Monday, September 22: 9 a.m. – Noon, Island Market, 12:30 – 3 p.m., Transfer Station

On the 22nd of September, the Skagit Habitat for Humanity Store truck will be back on Orcas Island to accept your donations of building materials, appliances, furniture, windows and doors, hardware and tools, lumber, paint, and lighting until the Exchange is up and operating again.
Items accepted include:
- Furniture
- Appliances
- Windows
- Doors
- Hardware
- Lumber
- Paint and Supplies
- Tools
- Plumbing Supplies
- Lighting
The Habitat truck will be at the Island Market in Eastsound on the 22nd from 9 AM to noon, and then will move to the Transfer Station from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. All donors will receive a receipt to document their tax-deductible donation. This will probably be the last truck visit this year.

Hi, wonderful! Is there a way that Orcas islanders can come out & see if what they need is available here, maybe take it home? Just asking…
Susan, thanks for your response to our notice. If you can be there to talk to donors before they donate to us, and if they are willing to give it to you, I have no problem with that. Once we load stuff on the truck, though, it is impractical to allow anyone to sort through and remove what has been loaded. I hope that makes sense. In any case, please stop by to say hi and learn more about our Store. When you are in Mount Vernon, I encourage you to visit the Store at 1022 Riverside Drive to see all we offer–all of what is there comes from donors.
