Orcas Island Rowing is once again encouraging all the brave souls on Orcas Island to take a quick dip into Cascade Lake on New Year’s Day, January 1st.

This is a fundraiser to help youth rowers get to regattas, so come buy a T-shirt or make a donation. offer a competitive rowing program for high school and junior high age students age 13 to 18. Orcas Island Rowing teaches self-reliance, teamwork, sportsmanship, how to get up in the morning, and it is a LOT of fun. Send an email to info@orcasislandrowing.org to find out how to join the team.

It’s bracing, and a little bit crazy, but you know you want to do it…. see you there! Happy New Year!
