Orcas Senior Center is overjoyed with the outpouring of support from our community during the recent GiveOrcas campaign! Over 81 donors helped fund our $19,000 grant request for our Companion Services program.
In addition, we received a whopping 46 donations on Ben Franklin Day resulting in winning the top prize of $1000! A heartfelt thank you goes out to you for supporting our Companion Services program. Orcas Senior Center’s Companion Services currently consists Hearts and Hands, which provides in-person and in-home companionship and practical assistance; and Buddy Check-In, which provides telephone (or other remote means, i.e., video conferencing) monitoring companionship.
