Girls with Ukes fans can expect another fun-filled performance, complete with tunes ranging from the Andrews Sisters to the Beatles, with a new original Girls with Ukes anthem tossed in for good measure. This performance will also close with a new feature you’ve all been waiting for: a Girls with Ukes Sing-along!
The Orcas Island Girls Ukulele Ensemble (otherwise known as Girls with Ukes) are island girls ages 10 through 14, co-lead by Anita Orne and Mandy Troxel. The group has been meeting for the past 10 weeks, learning vocal rounds and other exercises, while also assembling a show of classic tunes, which they will introduce to the audience with typical dramatic flair.
The Random Howse will be featuring its Thai menu, and will open for dinner at 5:00pm. The event has no cover charge, but feeding the tip jars will help to cover choir costs. Reservations are strongly encouraged – it’s going to be a full house! Call 376-1111.
