— from Kathi Ciskowski —

The Orcas Island Genealogy Club is free and open to anyone who is interested in exploring family genealogy–whether you have years of experience or are just wanting to begin now, you are welcome to join. The monthly meetings happen on the third Tuesday of the month in the library Community Meeting Room from 10:30-12:30. The next meeting is on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019.  Bring a computer or other device that can connect to the internet.

The topic this month is Brick Walls 101: Have you hit a brick wall in your genealogy search? Do you need genealogical strategies and tips to help solve difficult research problems?

Please bring an electronic device and whatever genealogy information you’ve gathered leading up to your research barriers.

We will discuss general brick wall strategy and work as a group, in teams, and one-on-one for solutions.

For more information about the club and the upcoming meeting call Rebecca Johnson (360-298-6007)
