Interested in researching your family tree? Curious to see if you can find some of your more rascally ancestors? Please, come exploring with us!
This month the Orcas Island Genealogy Club is going to delve into Ancestry Academy and see if we can find ways to track down some of the more colorful people from our past. Through newspaper articles, census records, and various other sources, our own personal blacksheep ancestors may be revealed to us.
To sweeten the search we hope people will bring a favorite family cookie recipe and perhaps some of those cookies to share.
Join the Orcas Island Genealogy Club on Tuesday, December 17 in the library Community Meeting Room from 10:30-12:30. The club is open to anyone who is interested in exploring family genealogy–whether you have years of experience or are just wanting to begin now, you are welcome to join. The monthly meetings are free and happen on the third Tuesday of every month in the library Community Meeting Room from 10:30-12:30.
For more information about the club and the upcoming meeting call Vicki Leimback (206-714-3348) or Kathi Ciskowski (360-376-4186).
