On October 17, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., in the Madrona Room of Orcas Center, Orcas Island Garden Club will feature Landscape Architect, Chad Wichers. Mr. Wichers will give us some ideas concerning landscape lighting, including path lighting, up & down lighting, and lighting for safety. He has experience designing neighborhood and regional parks, community gardens, green-built projects as well as many residential gardens.
Chad Wichers grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Frequent hiking has given him an appreciation of the northwest landscapes – parks, forests, trails. His education has given him an appreciation for contemporary design and materials in his own personal design style.
Chad is a founding partner of Studio 342 Landscape Architects in Seattle and has also served as a faculty lecturer in the Landscape Architecture Dept. at UW since 2005.
Everyone is invited to join the Orcas Island Garden Club on October 17, 2012, to hear this informative presentation. The meeting begins at 10:00 a.m., in the Madrona Room of Orcas Center. For further information go to www.orcasislandgardenclub.org.
