Far Reaches Farm and Botanical Conservancy in Port Townsend is an amazing rare plant collection in a beautiful setting. Kelly Dodson and Sue Milliken (pictured) are the founders and owners of Far Reaches Farm, who spoke to us in October of 2023 about their expanding Crevice Garden and previously in 2016 about their plant collecting travels.

On Thursday, October 17th, we will travel to the Farm to meet Kelly and Sue, walk the different gardens, and shop.

We will limit the group to 24 and need at least 5 – 6 drivers.

Here’s the schedule for the day:

  • 6:45 a.m. Ferry from Orcas to Anacortes (arriving at 8:10 a.m.)
  • Travel to Port Townsend (approx. 1.5 hours including Port Townsend ferry)
  • Visit the gardens and then return to Anacortes
  • 6:30 p.m. Ferry from Anacortes to Orcas (arriving at 7:35 p.m.)

Members will be responsible for reimbursing drivers for ferry and fuel costs.
