The Funhouse Commons and Camp Orkila partnered last Saturday, Mar. 4, to offer the Funhouse mentors and mentees a high energy team building experience.

Camp Orkila staff organized and ran several stations, allowing the mentors and mentees to engage in activities like archery, face painting, pottery, GaGa Ball, and low-ropes challenges.

Many mentees brought their parents and siblings to the event, and were proud to be able to show off their unique mentor relationships.

One parent, who came with her three children said “Wow! I love seeing my kids having so much fun, and they aren’t even playing video games.”

The Funhouse Mentor Program matches children with talented and caring adults in the community who can help teach them a new skill, provide a listening ear, go on adventures, or simply be a friend. Camp Orkila provided the perfect setting for these rich relationships to shine.
