Today we are launching into a new chapter of growth as an organization. Krista Bouchey, our Executive Director for the past four years, has announced she will be departing from her position at the Funhouse effective May 24, 2017 to join the OPALCO team. Krista has deeply nurtured the Funhouse, its programming, its children and supporters during her tenure. We’ve been extremely fortunate to have her leadership over the years. We thank Krista for all the work she did to grow, mature, and enhance the organization.
The Funhouse is in a strong position going forward. An extensive group of donors and volunteers support the Funhouse kids and the organization. Our quality youth development programs are popular and meet the needs of many island families. We have well-established community and state partnerships in place. The Board of Directors and staff are dedicated, talented, and deeply committed to moving the vision forward. It is an exciting time for the Funhouse!
The Funhouse Board is developing a transition plan to ensure a smooth shift to our next organizational leader. The Funhouse mission and work attract exceptional people. We expect our next Executive Director will build on the strong base Krista established.
