Last week the kids grabbed a Hula hoop ring, dancing, foot and finger tapping, head nodding. “The New Triumph!” kept us moving and listening with their colorful orchestrated groovy and funky compositions. Thanks everyone, for coming out, playing and enjoying!
The quartet we’re going to welcome this week will bring the front-runners of the young Seattle Jazz scene to us. All in their mid-twenties and already highly praised by the Earshot jazz magazine for performances and recordings. Each of the members in Dylan’s quartet bring their own identity to the group, propelling the ever renewing sound of jazz.
Seattle’s great and renown composer/arranger Jim Knapp once said about the band leader, “Dylan Hayes is a great Composer and Pianist. I go to hear him whenever I can”. Well, here is the chance for our Jazz fans to hear him with his quartet presenting his music. I’ll be there ;-)
