Emmanuel Church will begin a monthly series of Community Dinner Kitchens on Thursday night, Dec. 17, from 5:30 to 7:30p.m., in the new Parish Hall in Eastsound. There’s a strong indication that Santa plans to leave children’s toys at this first event, for which Ken Speck plans to bring some musicians.
“Have lunch at the Food Bank and dinner at Emmanuel,” suggests Emmanuel’s Tom Murdock, referring to the lunches that four local churches take turns preparing for 60-80 people each Tuesday at the Food Bank in the Community Church social hall.
The Thursday Dinner Kitchens, including this first one, are free and open to everyone. If you need a ride or know anybody who might like to come but for whom transportation is a problem, or who might like a personal invitation, call Jan at 376-3394.
