Pictures of volunteers hung like linen on a clothes line, in the upstairs meeting room of the Orcas Food Co-op. Each image displayed a moment in the thousands of moments in the restoration of the building.
On Sunday September 14 from 3 – 7 p.m., the Co-op Board of Directors and every volunteer that brought the Co-op to fruition gathered and celebrated their success of the summer with a ‘Volunteer Appreciation Day.’
Delicious food, a bright airy atmosphere, and happy conversation filled the room as everyone who had helped by lifting a hammer or providing food for the workers was there.
