A heartfelt thank-you to all the wonderful women and four brave men who joined us for a year of love, happily-ever-afters (and not-so-happily-ever-afters) at the first-ever Darvill’s Love & Relationships Book Club.
What began as a little literary experiment brought new friendships, meaningful conversations, and lots of laughs. We couldn’t have asked for better company.
This Tuesday, November 3rd, marks the final gathering of our yearlong Romance Book Club before we turn the page and explore new genres in 2027. And we couldn’t have picked a better book for our finale. Our final selection is Just Last Night by Mhairi McFarlane, a novel Emily Henry says she wishes she’d written.
Eve, Justin, Susie, and Ed have been friends since they were teenagers. Now in their thirties, the four are as close as ever. Thursday night bar trivia is sacred, and Eve is still secretly in love with Ed. Maybe she should have moved on by now, but she can’t stop thinking about what could have been. And she knows Ed still thinks about it, too.
But then, in an instant, their lives are changed forever.
In the aftermath, Eve’s world is upended. As stunning secrets are revealed, she begins to wonder if she really knew her friends as well as she thought. And when someone from the past comes back into her life, Eve’s future veers in a surprising new direction.
Join us this Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Darvill’s Bookstore to discuss.
In 2027, the Darvill’s Love & Relationships Book Club will expand beyond romance and relationships to explore books of every genre. New stories, new perspectives, and, we hope, plenty of new faces around the table.
Whether you’ve been part of our first year or have been waiting for an invitation, consider this yours. To add your name to the mailing list, send a request to hello@darvillsbooks.com
