Friday Harbor School of Massage is now enrolling for the September 2017 through April 2018 massage professional program. All of the instructors at the school are local massage therapists. Classes will be held at in downtown Friday Harbor, for ease of access from the ferry.
Friday Harbor School of Massage was approved by The Washington State Board of Massage, and the Workforce Training Board approved the curriculum and program in July 2016.
The school is a state-approved school for training new massage therapists. Currently the closest massage schools are located in Bellingham, Arlington, Everett and Port Townsend making it difficult and expensive for islanders to attend.
Tuition is $8,900 which includes 625 hours of instruction, textbooks, supplies and materials. Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 5 days a week, beginning September 6.
