Summer sailing schedule begins Sunday, June 16

The summer 2013 sailing schedule begins this Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, with more vessels, sailings and service hours on many routes. Features of summer service include:

  • Anacortes/San Juan Islands: An additional vessel and increased hours of service
  • Anacortes/Sidney, B.C.: Two daily trips instead of one
  • Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth: Extra weekend service
  • Port Townsend/Coupeville: Continued two-boat service
  • Mukilteo/Clinton: Additional late night sailings Thursdays through Sundays, later final sailings on weekends and more early morning sailings Saturdays
  • Edmonds/Kingston: 7:50 a.m. weekend sailing from Edmonds moved to 7:55 a.m. to match the weekday schedule (permanent change starting with this summer)

Washington State Ferries (WSF) recommends planning summer ferry travel outside of peak hours on Friday afternoons and evenings westbound and Sunday afternoons eastbound. Check the summer 2013 sailing schedule at the bottom of the WSF schedule page or pick up a red, printed copy on vessels or at any terminal, or go to “Ferry Schedule” on Orcas Issues right hand “sidebar” for the current schedule.
