||| FROM SAN JUAN MAKERS GUILD |||
Fall Festival in Deer Harbor is this Sunday, Sept. 22nd, 12-4:30 pm at the Family Tides Farm. Join local artists and artisans and gather local botanicals for metal casting, hone your knife skills, weave with island plants, make and print on paper – something for all ages. Plus cider pressing, music, food, hay rides and more!
New Collaborations! The Island Makers Guild is hosting a pavilion of Makers demos and hands-on learning activities featuring:
- Zack Leck and Deborah Sparks – metal casting of wildcrafted botanicals
Maria Bullock – local grown basketry weaving
Brook Meinhardt – hands on printmaking and sculpture
Marcy Montgomery – handmade papermaking
Nathan Donnelly – knifework and wood carving
Come watch and try out new skills! All activities are free thanks to sponsorship by the Family Tides Farm and the Salish Sea Folk Fest.
