Hughes and Jarman still lead opponents

With the second vote count posted minutes ago, the winning trends of Candidates Rick Hughes and Bob Jarman still hold:

  • 3,440 votes for Hughes(51.1 percent); his opponent Lisa Byers has gained   3,292 or 48.9  percent of the vote
  • 3,372 votes for Jarman (50.52 percent); his opponent Lovel Pratt has gained 3,302 or  49.48 percent of the vote.

On Lopez Island Jamie Stephens still leads challenger Brian McClerren with  3,640 votes or  57.08  percent for Stephens and   2,737 votes or 42.92  percent for McClerren.  The Lopez School District’s General Obligation Bond Proposition has failed by a 58 to 42 percent of voter turnout.

Of   11.952  registered voters county-wide,  7,036  votes have been counted as of 3:44 p.m. Wednesday, April 24. An estimated 60 votes remain to be counted

The next tally will be on May 1 at 5 p.m.
