The 40th Legislative District (Whatcom, Skagit and San Juan Counties) will be having its summer quarterly meeting on July 20th in beautiful Friday Harbor from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the San Juan Island Grange.
The San Juan County Democrats will be hosting a potluck style lunch from 1pm to 2pm. They will be providing salads and sandwich materials as well as ice water and soft drinks. Democrats from off island can bring chips, cookies and other easy-to-carry items. No alcoholic beverages, please.
The ferry schedule shows a direct boat from Anacortes leaving at 11:55am and arriving in Friday Harbor at 1:00pm. There is an earlier inter island boat which leaves Lopez at 10:00 AM, Shaw at 10:20and Orcas at 10:40 and arrives in Friday Harbor at 11:20. Please look at the ferry schedule online and confirm the time that your ferry should leave. We can meet people at the ferry landing and drive them up to the Grange Hall if needed. It is a short walk.
Democrats coming to the 40th Legislative District Meeting should walk on, if possible because the ferry lines are long this time of the year. The San Juan Island Grange is about a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal.
All are welcome to take this opportunity to come out to the islands, connect with fellow Democrats, and help move the 40th Legislative District Democrats forward! We will be considering resolutions, endorsements, and other business at this meeting.
