Dementia Friendly Orcas (DFO), a coalition of community members, nonprofits, and public agencies, is working to assess the needs of people living with dementia and their families in our community. Sponsored by Orcas Senior Center, DFO is working to engage all sectors of our community in understanding the scope and impact of memory loss and dementia on Orcas Island. As DFO identifies needs for improvement, we will plan for providing the education, community support, and resources that people living with dementia, their families, and caregivers need to live here fully and safely.
