Quentin Blake's whimsical drawings match Roald Dahl's wildly imaginative story lines

Lynne Howe returns to Darville’s with another fun-filled kids’ event on September 19 as Darvill’s Bookstore celebrates Roald Dahl, WWII pilot and famous children’s book author.

Dahl is the  creator of the characters Matilda and Willy Wonka, among many others. His two autobiographies are entitled Boy: Tales of Childhood and Going Solo.

Other books penned by Dahl are The Witches, James and the Giant Peach, Esio Trot, George’s Marvelous Medicine, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator and The BFG.

Stories, puzzles, crafts, and treats are provided from 2 to 3 p.m. Call 376-2135 for further information.
