||| FROM SAN JUAN COUNTY COMMUNICATIONS |||
San Juan County is in the process of relocating its Public Works facilities on Lopez Island to the MacKaye Harbor area. In advance of this move, the County is holding a community meeting on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm for neighbors to ask questions and learn more about the project.
The meeting will be held at 74 Norman Road, adjacent to the County’s gravel storage yard. During the meeting, County staff and Councilmember Jane Fuller will be present to lead the discussion and answer questions.
Background:
This multi-year process to relocate Public Works facilities has included feasibility studies, presentations and discussions during County Council and Planning Commission meetings, public hearings, multiple instances of community outreach, opportunities for public input, and more.
The County published a list of answers to frequently asked questions about the relocation earlier this year, found on the County’s website: https://www.sanjuanco.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1334
