The Agricultural Resources Committee and the San Juan County Economic Development Council are recruiting for an ARC Coordinator to be responsible for assisting the ARC in achieving the committee’s goals and objectives.

The ARC Coordinator reports to the ARC and to EDC Board of Directors, and has the following major responsibilities:

  1. General administration and communications.
  2. Grant development and management.
  3. Project development and maintenance.
  4. Public outreach.

Additional responsibilities will include activities and deliverables as determined by the ARC.

This position is expected to be a .6 FTE (60%) position and does provide benefits. There is no funding for relocation expenses.

The ARC is an advisory group to the San Juan County Council. The ARC’s mission is to achieve the protection and restoration of agriculture in San Juan County. The ARC Coordinator is a staff member of the San Juan County Economic Development Council (EDC), which advocates to diversify and strengthen the economy of San Juan County and to promote and preserve the overall quality of life of islanders.   The EDC is the county’s primary source for island business-related information. The EDC strives to enable business success by linking resources, rendering assistance, and improving conditions for local business.
