The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce this year’s Fourth of July Weekend schedule of events. This year’s theme is “Orcas Come Together” as they focus on celebrating our strength and resilience as a community by bringing the entire island out for a great weekend of family-friendly fun.

Parade registration closes Thursday June 29 at 5 p.m. Chili cook off registration closes Sunday, July 2 at 5 p.m. 5K registration available day of.

  • Saturday, July 1

    Grand marshals are Lance Evans and Janet Brownell.

    • Orcas Island Fire and Rescue pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. followed by the annual community parade at noon. Grand marshals are Lance Evans and Janet Brownell. After that, enjoy the Lion’s Club Salmon BBQ from 4 to 7 p.m. and The Children’s House Eastsound Mayoral election results.

  • Sunday, July 2
    • The American Legion Annual Pig Roast starts at 4 p.m. Orcas Center Summer Concert series featuring Carl Verheyen Live on the Village Green is at 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 4
    • The big day begins at the Village Green with the 5K Fun Run/Walk sponsored by the Orcas Exchange, OI Parks and Rec, and the OI Chamber of Commerce.
    • From 11 to 7 p.m., enjoy the following in the Village Green: Community Picnic and Market with food and retail vendors; chili cook-off; cake walk.
    • The main event is live music on the Green with Baker & West, Bad Dads and the Ian Moore Band from 4 to 10 p.m.
    • At dusk, the fireworks will begin.
