Jeffrey Kahane, Joseph Swensen, and Carter Brey
The 2013 Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival opens August 9th at Orcas Center with the extraordinary reunion of three superb artists: Festival favorite Jeffrey Kahane, international violin soloist Joseph Swensen, and New York Philharmonic Principal Cellist Carter Brey. Originally formed as a trio at the Spoleto Festival in the 1980s, KahaneSwensenBrey perform trios by Mozart and Ravel.
In the second half of the Three’s Company program they welcome Artistic Director and violist Aloysia Friedmann to the stage for the beautiful Brahms’ Piano Quartet in C minor.

The August 9th concert is at 7:30pm, August 10th at 5:30pm.
