The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the three winning parade entries in Saturday’s Community Parade. Parade volunteers reviewed all the entrants, and felt these organizations and community groups best represented our theme: “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Celebrate Sustainability.”
The top prize of $100 goes to OPAL Community Land Trust. Their banner: “OPAL Recycles House for Orcas Families” captured our theme perfectly.
The two runners-up were: Orcas Island Garden Club, and The Exchange. Each will receive a $50 gift certificate, courtesy of Island Market.
The Chamber thanks all those who entered this year’s parade.
