Writer’s Roundtable, featuring the six-word memoir, with Rachel Newcombe and JoEllen Moldoff. All are welcome, 1 to 3 p.m. at the Orcas Public Library.

Annual Candlelight Spiral Walk at 3 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall, sponsored by Orcas Montessori School and the Salmonberry School. An opportunity for children and adults of all ages to experience a quiet reverence for the beginning of the holiday season. Suggested donation of $5 per family or a gift of nonperishable food for the Orcas Island Food Bank would be warmly appreciated.

This year’s program will include music from the 1500’s to the present, including a new carol by jazz legend, Dave Brubeck.
