Jazz Fest New York City jazz violinist Maliq Khalid will play at Doe Bay Cafe, with Orcas Island’s own jazz legend Willie Thomas, Gene Nery, Martin Lund and Seattle’s Chris Martin, plus The Fiddlin’ Four, at 7:30 p.m. All that and the great food at Doe Bay Cafe. Annual Candlelight Spiral Walk at 3 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall, sponsored by Orcas Montessori School and the Salmonberry School. An opportunity for children and adults of all ages to experience a quiet reverence for the beginning of the holiday season. Suggested donation of $5 per family or a gift of nonperishable food for the Orcas Island Food Bank would be warmly appreciated.
