The Bolshoi Ballet performs Tchaikovsky’s classical masterpiece, Swan Lake, from the Moscow stage to Orcas Center in cinema on Saturday, February 11, 6:30 pm. Join us for a ballet of ultimate beauty accompanied by a score of unparalleled perfection including breathtaking scenes with the Bolshoi’s corps de ballet –an unforgettable experience in cinema.

At moonlight on the banks of a mysterious lake, Prince Siegfried meets the bewitched swan-woman Odette. Completely spellbound by her beauty, he swears his faithfulness to her. However, the Prince realizes too late that Fate has another plan for him.

Born at the Bolshoi Theatre 140 years ago, this timeless work accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s score is classical ballet at its finest. Leading the cast is the Bolshoi’s prima ballerina Svetlana Zakharova in the dual role of white swan Odette and her rival black swan Odile. Zakharova exudes both vulnerability and cunning through superb technical mastery, alongside the Bolshoi’s “dazzling” Denis Rodkin who “lives and breathes the troubled Prince Siegfried.” The Bolshoi’s solo artists, including Angelina Karpova’s “attitude-filled Hungarian Bride, Anna Tikhomirova’s gazelle-like Spaniard, and Daria Khokhlova’s firefly of a Neapolitan” give astonishing performances. Bolshoi’s corps de ballet feature breathtaking choreography by Yuri Grigorovich. (The Telegraph)
