UPDATE: Doors open at 7 pm for viewing of the many raffle, silent auction and live Auction donations on display.  Enjoy some yummy snacks from island bakers and restaurants, get comfortable  and Auction fun will start around 7:30.  Great donations continue to come in.  Come see for yourselves and have fun while supporting a great cause!

All islanders are invited to the Bizarre Brassiere Bazaar. This dynamic evening will feature variety of splendid donated items—artwork, jewelry, services, gift certificates and more—available to the crowd via raffles and a silent auction.

The highlight of the evening’s festivities will be the unveiling, presentation and spirited auctioning of more than a dozen one-of-a-kind artistic bras created by Orcas Island artists specifically for this event.

Delectable hors d’oeuvres from Orcas bakers and wine, beer and champagne from the Madrona Bar and Grill and Island Hoppin’ Brewery will be served throughout the evening. MC/Auctioneers, Mark Padbury and John Clancy, will keep the action lively! Entrance to the event is by donation.

Parts from Pete Welty's lawnmower

One of the more eclectic donations—made entirely from lawn mower parts by Brendan Egan.

Proceeds from the event will support the new Orcas Island Ferry Ticket Fund, an island-wide effort to provide both information and financial help for folks who need off-island medical care, have no insurance, are under-insured or under-employed. This program has been inspired by local musician Marlene Dickey and the Orcas Family Connections Resource Center will administer the fund.

Stop by through May 9th to view a rotating sampling of the ‘bra works” through the streetside window of the Our House building on Main Street in Eastsound.

Please join us and bring your friends to enjoy a fun-filled evening and help raise funds for fellow islanders in need. The organizing committee, dubbed Team TaTas, includes Dickey, Ethna Flanagan, Gaylynne Noonan, Beth McElhone, Gretchen Krampf, Carla Stanley, Marta Nielson, Anu Honey and Susan Malins. Further information is available from committee members or by writing to ferryticketfundraiser@gmail.com.
