Thursday April 5 – Sunday April 8
Doe Bay will host the Joy Guild with one of Lori Stone’s ever creative, ever adventurous Big Kid Art Retreat this weekend, April 5 to April 8.
Lori Stone is a corporate communications and project manager by trade; she has founded The Joy Guild, a consortium of program activities meant to help adults gain more creative freedom through arts education. Tickets for the weekend range from $100 to $239.
Packed with fun and opportunities for creative expression through arts, crafts, games, and personal reflection, retreat participants can expect an experience that mimics a summer camp for younger kids. The retreat is designed for “big kids” age 18 and up in need of a creative renaissance or those who want to try a new art medium in a casual and comfortable environment. All skill levels are welcome and no prior art experience is necessary. Additional retreats are planned in June 7-10 and October 11-14, 2012.
