About Ellie Wright

Ellie Wright is currently a junior at OIHS and has lived on Orcas Island her entire life. She has been heavily involved in on-island dance and theater productions for the past eight years, mostly through Orcas Center and the Junior Dance Collective. Ellie has been the managing editor for the school newspaper, The Viking Voice, for the past two years. She is a passionate poet, often inspired by the scenery and people around her, and has long dreamed of publishing a book of poetry. While she loves Orcas and appreciates the safety and community it has given her growing up, she is excited to see what the rest of the world has to offer her in the future.
