Tuesday, July 2, 6 p.m., Darvill’s
— from Ayn Gailey —
Darvill’s Bookstore will host the launch of author Jeff Henigson’s young adult memoir, Warhead, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2. Jeff is the son of Phyllis and Robert Henigson, known for their generous support of the Orcas community. The conversation will be moderated by author Ayn Gailey and will explore Jeff’s teen battles—against brain cancer and nuclear war, and for his father’s love.
Booklist describes the book as “always gripping, often heartbreaking, and ultimately uplifting.” David Ebershoff, the bestselling author of The Danish Girl and The 19th Wife, says, “Touching, vivid, full of humor and heart, Warhead shows what is possible when we refuse to accept a diagnosis of despair.”
Contact Darvill’s to pre-order or reserve a signed copy of Warhead. Refreshments will be served at the launch event.
