Crowds pack the Orcas Center's Madrona Room to enjoy art, wine and hamburgers on Friday night.
Friday night, back-to-back events with a hamburger dinner served in between brought the majority of Orcas Island’s winter population to the Orcas Center.
The opening of the art exhibit, “The Art of Illustration,” along with paintings and photographs by island artists brought out art afficianados to the Center beginning at 5 p.m.
Inside the Madrona Room, checkered tablecloths covered long tables where hamburgers and veggie burgers served by the Lower Tavern, fed art- music and people-lovers all before the Battlefield Band sold-out concert at 7:30 p.m.
