Did you see
That hummingbird
I sent to your new home?
She came by here
Hungry, curious
In a furious hurry
She zipped about
Seeking sustenance
I could not provide
I suggested she fly
To your house
You have nourishment
A full, sugary goblet
Hanging in the shade
Ready to share
I told her I know
Because I, too, was once
Hungry, curious
When you purposely poured
Contents from your chalice
Into my thirsty throat

wow, what a wonderful poem– so much between the lines, and I love the shock of moving from the hummingbird to the I of the poem– very moving.
