Thank mooooo to voters from far and wide who have helped Mayoral candidate Big Red (the cow) in her ongoing bid for Orcas Island’s next mayor! We are so thankful and hope to see you at the Independence Day Parade this Saturday, July 1st.
Since Memorial Day Weekend 2023 six animal candidates have run for the honorary mayor of Eastsound. A duck, a cat, three dogs and the cow are all vying for your vote. Voters from anywhere can vote early and often to select the next honorary mayor – voting ends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 1 2023.
Voters can buy a vote for $1 each – just go to mayorofeastsound.org or visit the Orcas Island Children’s House booth at the Eastsound farmers market this Saturday to vote or go here to support Big Red https://secure.givelively.org/
