Thanks everyone, for coming out to see the wonderful first series of concerts with Stanley’s sextet at Wild Island Restaurant.
We’re looking very much forward to seeing Kareem Kandi’s World Orchestra on our stage, this Thursday through Saturday 12:30 to 2pm. Kareem and his trio have become a regular since our first season in 2021. He’s touring extensively in Europe, recently a 2-week tour in France.
Pure Bebop in a small setting provides a lot of space for improvisation and spontaneous interaction. Greg Feingold recently performed with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra at Benaroya Hall, and he’s a member of the faculty at WWU in Bellingham. Adam Kessler has an incredible spectrum of music stiles. He plays with the SRJO, The New Triumph!, and the Oliver Groenewald Newnet to name a few.
Like in the past, the concerts are sponsored by Wild Island Restaurant and free to all; contributions to the jar are highly appreciated.
