The Bullocks Permaculture Homestead in Deer Harbor will be the site for an all-day personal experience in personal agriculture, with talks by a renowned permaculture expert.
On Saturday, Aug. 22, Australian permaculture designer and educator, Robyn Francis from the Erda Institute and Djanbung Gardens, Australia’s leading permaculture center, will give two presentations –“My Eco-Neighborhood” and “One-Earth Footprint – Learning from Cuba’s Experience.”
Francis is an award-winning international permaculture pioneer. She draws on over 25 years of permaculture work throughout Australia and overseas. Robyn was founding director Permaculture International Ltd (PIL) in 1987, editor of the Permaculture International Journal, designer and creator of Djanbung Gardens, and was member of the National Reference Group which developed the Accredited Permaculture Training™ (APT) for Permaulture International.
In addition, all participants will receive an in-depth three hour site tour of the Bullock’s 30 year old permaculture site. The day will end with an earth oven pizza party, music, and campfire banter.
Tuition is $75 for the day; $95 if you’d like to stay overnight & share a simple breakfast with us, says Dave Boehnlein, Education Director for Bullock’s Permaculture Homestead.
