Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services (DV/SAS) will hold a 5K run “to challenge abuse and change lives” on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Race participants are encouraged to set up teams and obtain pledges to support DVSAS in the effort to end violence in the Orcas community.
Awards will be given for the top 3 female and male finishers. In addition, the top finisher in each age category will receive awards:
15 and under
15-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60-69
70+
The entry fee is $10. A long sleeve shirt is available for $15. Registration for the event starts at 8:30 .m. on Sunday Oct. 25th at Orcas High School
The race begins at 10 a.m. and the route starts and finishes in front of the school making one loop around town, down North Beach Rd. and back, finishing at the school. The course is relatively flat and all on paved roads. Stroller friendly and dogs are welcome to join the walkers.
