— from Susannah Weaver —

On This Island is a benefit performance for Orcas Center three nights only, May 13, 14 & 15 at 7:30 pm.

USE THIS Grace On This Island 2Directed by Grace McCune, this night of music weaves together a tapestry of sonic stories by some of Orcas Island’s most treasured musicians and performers. These stories talk of what it means to live in a small community, how we live and love together. How we support and grieve with one another. And how somehow, we have found ourselves and each other here, On This Island.

Brilliantly directed by Grace McCune with a host of artists including: Noah Racey, Susan Osborn, Martin Lund, the Sea Stars, Jim Bredouw, Jake Perrine, Gene Nery, Carolyn Cruso, Melody Funk, Kara O’Toole, Tiffany Loney, Stormy Hildreth, Jeffrey Horton, Deborah Sparks, Corey Wiscomb, Cali Bagby, Khadoma Colomby and The Rock on the Rock Choirs. Grace has done an extraordinary job of bringing these artists as well as many other faces on stage by featuring throwback photos shared by islanders that will be used as the projected back drop of the performance. Come to a concert to celebrate your community, support the arts, and commemorate the 30th anniversary of Orcas Center together On This Island. This not-to-be-missed performance will sell out.
