Lizz Hanks' students Jules Mann, Adrien Erickson and Mackie Blackburn will perform Thursday evening in the the Senior Honor Orchestra Festival in Lynden.
Orcas High School musicians– freshman Jules Mann, sophomore Mackie Blackburn and junior Adrien Erickson — have been selected to perform with the Senior Honor Orchestra Festival, held today, Nov. 5 in Lynden.
The festival is sponsored by the San Juan Music Educators’ Association, composed of teachers in Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan and Island counties.
The students will attend an all-day rehearsal, playing music they have been given in advance, under the direction of renowned guest conductors. The Honor Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. at Lynden Christian High School.
Students Blackburn and Erickson have played with the Islands Sinfonia in concert.
