Modified peak season vehicle reservations available

Planning a summer ferry trip on our Anacortes/San Juan Islands or Port Townsend/Coupeville routes? Vehicle reservations are now available for our modified peak season, which begins on May 9 this year instead of a normal late-June start date, and runs through Sept. 25. Also different for our Anacortes/San Juan Islands route, there will be daily four-boat service instead of five.

Without a fifth boat that normally runs two round trips to Canada,
there will also be fewer morning sailings than usual between Anacortes and Lopez Island.

Reminder: Masks required on our ferries, in terminals

Since last summer, face coverings have been required throughout all our terminals and ferries, indoors and outdoors, unless in a vehicle. And last month, a federal order took effect requiring masks be worn at all times “while on conveyances and at transportation hubs,” with a few exceptions. We’ve updated signage and onboard announcements explaining the Centers for Disease Control order and to remind riders that face coverings remain a requirement for travel with us. Our vessel crews and terminal staff have been informed that they are responsible for notifying passengers of the requirements and to deny travel to anyone who does not comply, as well as how to relay information to law enforcement if someone is uncooperative.

Unless you’re in a vehicle, everyone aboard our ferries is required to
wear a mask inside the cabin or on any outdoor deck of the vessel.

Daylight saving time and our sailing schedules

Mark your calendar! Daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 14. We will operate the full sailing day of Saturday, March 13, on Pacific Standard Time. We will operate on daylight saving time beginning with the first sailing Sunday on each route.
