— from Washington State Ferries —

4th of July

Plan ahead for big crowds over the July Fourth week, especially on both weekends and the day before and after the holiday.

Independence Day week is one of our busiest travel times. Like last year, we expect nearly 1 million people to ride a ferry today, June 29, through Monday, July 9. We have a limited amount of vehicle reservations remaining for our Port Townsend/Coupeville and Anacortes/San Juan Islands/Sidney, BC routes.

We’ll be adding sailings on some routes and several routes will be on holiday schedules, so be sure to check the sailing schedule before traveling.

As a reminder, the Washington State Patrol will be searching for illegal fireworks, which are prohibited at our terminals and on our vessels.
