Tuesdays, October 2 – November 13, 1 – 3 p.m., Orcas Library
— from JoEllen Moldoff, Facilitator —
(Note: this class is already fully-registered, apologies to those who are interested in participating)
In this class we will focus on memoir with an openness to writing in imaginative ways. We will read and discuss poems, memoir, and short short stories to inspire our own writing. I will offer writing prompts, and we will learn from one another as we write and share. You will be encouraged to experiment in different genres and allow your writing to become what it wants to be.
The “requirements” of this class are to trust your creative process, to be open to surprise, and to enjoy writing.
All are welcome, including beginners. Please make a commitment to attend all classes. Fee: $20 for donation to the library and for copying costs. Payable at first session. Class size: minimum 10, maximum 18.
To register: reply “YES” to moldoff@rockisland.com by September 25.

If you would like to be on a wait list for this class, please email me. Most likely, I will offer another memoir class and/or a Saturday Roundtable on memoir writing in the future.
Thanks in advance for your interest.
