Transforming the Past Through Words: the uses of history in writing memoir, fiction, non-fiction and poetry, with Kathi Ciskowski, presenter
Orcas Island resident Kathi Ciskowski will share some insights and tips on a variety of ways she has incorporated history into different writing projects. Kathi has studied Genealogy and Family History at the UW, taught classes about accessing online genealogy, contributed essays to www.HistoryLink.org, was recently published in the Seattle Genealogical Society newsletter and will have her current one act play, “The Sounds of Silence,” produced as part of the 2016 Actors Theater of Orcas Island PlayFest.
