Are you a beginning actor? High School age or above? Have experience on the stage and want to improve your performance skills? The Maria Massey Memorial Fund, in concert with the Actors Theater of Orcas Island, is pleased to announce its second Actor’s Workshop. The Fund was established to support the developing talents of Orcas Island actors to honor the memory of Maria Massey, who was an actor on Orcas Island.
Renowned acting coach and director Paula Russell, who now lives in Austin, Texas but was once the coach to Orcas Island actors, is coming to Orcas and will conduct a two-day acting workshop on August 27 and 28, 2016.
The course, which is targeted to all levels of experience, will consist of exercises, scene work, and character building. The workshop will accommodate a maximum of 16 students, on a first come first served basis, deadline August 1st.
Actors with more experience will be asked to join the class if we are unable to fill it with the target group. If you are interested, contact us and we will put your name on our waiting list and contact you after the deadline passes.
While the basic cost of the workshop is $50, the Maria Massey Memorial Fund will provide scholarship assistance to any student who needs financial help.
Check out what Orcas actors have said about Paula’s previous acting classes:
