Wednesday, July 3, 6 p.m., The Whale Museum

— from Tracie Merrill for The Whale Museum —

The Whale Museum is joining forces with Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to host a “Wild San Juan” talk on July 3 entitled “Marine Mammals.”

The talk will take place on Wednesday, July 3 at 6 p.m. at The Whale Museum. Harbor seal pup births coincide with the busiest season in the San Juan Islands, and this presents some significant challenges.

So what’s the best way to “Share the Shore” with marine mammals? Come join staff from The Whale Museum and Shona Aitken from Wolf Hollow as they co-present about this issue and discuss how both organizations contribute to the health of this species at both the population and individual level.

This evening is free and open to the public. For more information, call (360) 378-4710 ext. 30 or email info@whalemuseum.org. The Whale Museum is located in Friday Harbor at 62 First St. N. Both organizations can be found online: The Whale Museum at www.whalemuseum.org and Wolf Hollow at www.wolfhollowwildlife.org
